ARTWORK THAT MIRRORS A COUPLE'S RELATIONSHIP
We love being able to connect our clients with our wonderful variety of artists! As we build relationships with our clients, we are able to pull in artwork that resonates with them and transforms their space into a home. The artwork selected for this couple did just that, it mirrored their relationship, elegant and sophisticated.
Litsa recently sat down with Sarah and Ken to talk about their new modern home near the city and their experience with ADC.
Litsa Spanos, ADC : Why did you chose ADC?
Sarah: I love the art you carry. We first met at your book signing and we appreciate you as a woman business owner.
Litsa: How does the art you selected make you feel?
Ken: I'm sure most of your clients want to have an emotional connection with the art they choose to live with and we wanted that too.
Litsa: Do you have a favorite piece?
Sarah: I love everything, but in particular this painting by Canadian artist, ARO. It brings me a sense of quiet and inner piece. Another favorite is by Carol McConnell. When I first saw it in the gallery, it reminded me of ginko leaves. They represent longevity, love and good fortune. We have a huge wall in our main living area and I just had to have it there. It's a "feel good" piece and fits perfectly on that wall.
Ken: Our home is a refuge from the problems and frenzy of the world and our "happy place" that we share together.
Litsa: How do you feel about the artwork overall?
Sarah: When we designed this house, we knew it would be our "forever" home and built with lots of bedrooms for our kids and grandkids! It's definitely a family home.
Ken: A marriage is a combination of two people. I'm cerebral and Sarah is social, but we both wanted the art to reflect both our tastes - understated elegance and sophisticated.

Art Comes Alive Exhibition & the BLINK Art Resource
When we find art for a client we usually turn to our BLINK Art Resource book. BLINK Art Resource is a publication put out each year by ADC Fine Art containing the best of what's new and what's next in the art world. It's our go-to source for every project.
But this project was a little different. When we began looking for art, our annual international art competition - ART COMES ALIVE - had just opened it's exhibition. The timing was perfect and we were able to bring Chris and Tom to our gallery and show them the competition's artwork in person. The impact was immediate, and from that showing, we found the foundational pieces that now make up their collection.
The ability to provide a client with such personal and unique pieces makes us so happy - and installation day is always so exciting. But being able to connect these artists – whether from the ACA competition or our BLINK Art Resource – with new audiences is rewarding and keeps us focused on our mission!
