17 years ago, Art Comes Alive (ACA) began with one simple idea: artists deserve to be celebrated in a big way.Back in 2009, while attending a business awards banquet, our owner Litsa Spanos watched professionals being recognized for their achievements and thought, Why aren't artists honored like this too? In that moment, she decided to create a competition that would give artists what they truly need, recognition, gallery representation, sales opportunities, and meaningful connections.That vision became Art Comes Alive.Today, we're proud to launch the 17th Annual ACA, awarding more than $450,000 in prizes, purchase awards, exhibition opportunities, and career-building experiences. What started with $90,000 in awards has grown into one of the nation's most successful art competitions, helping artists build lasting relationships and successful careers.
