ADC, Art Design Consultants, Inc. proudly sponsors ART COMES ALIVE (ACA), an annual fine art contest & exhibit that awards the best emerging and professional artists working in North America.

Our diverse panel of prestigious jurors come from across the country and are seeking artists working in a variety of media, subject matter, and price points. Jurors will cast their votes for the top artists who will be showcased in a final exhibit here in Cincinnati and awarded prizes including purchase awards, gallery contracts, publishing contracts, solos shows, publicity, and cash prizes.

DESCRIPTION: Photographers make images. Visionaries teach you how to see. The Lucie Foundation is proud to support emerging talent with vision and dynamic ideas that challenge and progress the art form of still photography into work that compels. Our support of photography is broad, from Fine Art to Documentary and Photojournalism, to digital and film-based works. Our concern is to support emerging photographers producing work that is at once gripping, and original.

The Lucie Foundation is proud to offer three cash grants to support the work of emerging photographers – one $2,500 scholarship with an open theme and two $1000 scholarships for photographers working in the fields of Fine Art or Documentary/Photojournalism.

ORGANIZATION:  Interurban Arthouse

DESCRIPTION: Our existence is complicated, made up of so many components, moving parts, puzzle pieces, and random scraps of experience. We then cobble together all of these gathered bits and pieces to form and build our everyday lives. This October and November, the InterUrban ArtHouse will present Bits and Pieces, a group showing of assembled and mixed media art.

All mediums are welcome, but must be made up of different, well, bits and pieces. Think collage, assemblage or found object sculpture, reconstituted images, textiles, mosaic, shapes, and scraps of color, collaboration, etc.

Breckenridge, Colorado USA


ORGANIZATION: Breckenridge Creative Arts

DESCRIPTION: Breckenridge Grand Vacations, in partnership with Breckenridge Creative Arts, is issuing a Request for Qualifications and Proposals (hereinafter “RFQ&P”) from individual artists or artist teams to design and implement a monumental figurative sculpture in a site-specific, outdoor location at the base of Peak 8

of the Ten Mile Range in Breckenridge, Colorado. The subject of this commissioned work will be an artistic interpretation of Ullr, the Norse god of snow. This is a high visibility, high traffic opportunity with millions of guests utilizing the area on an annual basis. The location is one of the most notable and prominent public spaces within the Breckenridge community.

TITLE / LOCATION: Djerassi Resident Artists Program – Woodside, CA

Woodside, CA    USA


ORGANIZATION: Djerassi Resident Artists Program

DESCRIPTION: Residencies are awarded competitively, at no cost, to national and international artists in the disciplines of choreography, literature, music composition, visual arts, media arts, and science. There are 6 residency sessions each year: 5 are 4 weeks long and 1 that includes Open House/Open Studios is 5 weeks long. One session is devoted to Scientific Delirium Madness and the intersection of art and science. No shortened or partial residencies are offered.

We seek applications from emerging and mid-career artists, for whom appointments as resident artists may make a significant difference to their careers, as well as from established artists with national and/or international reputations. Applicants are evaluated by panels of arts professionals in each category.

Known as the “Academy Awards for Art,” Art Comes Alive (ACA), ADC's annual art competition and exhibit, is embarking on its 10th year of helping artists get their work in front of art-industry professionals such as interior designers, art galleries, private art collectors, and corporate collections. Each year the art competition gets bigger and better, and this year over $300,000 in awards will be given to artists through gallery contracts, purchase awards, publishing contracts, and more!
