How Interior Designers Buy Art – Art Design Consultants

How Interior Designers Buy Art

Posted on 19 April 2016

Working with artists every day led us to compile a list of frequently asked questions in which artists are eager to find the answers. This is how we developed our amazing agenda and set of speakers for our Success Summit.

ADC, Art Design Consultants Success Summit

Interior Interior designers are at the forefront of the newest trends and keep their clients on the cutting edge of what is happening.

Designers work in a world of client specifications and customization. They’re looking for that perfect piece of furniture, fabric, accessory and artwork to complete their design and satisfy the client. Often they look for commissioned pieces and that means specific dimensions, color and subject matter.  Interior designers love to know that artists are flexible and easy to work with even before they approach you to talk about a collaboration.

Keep your art current on your website and on social media channels with your immediately available works, but don’t think that means removing sold works entirely from your website. Get images from projects that purchased your works to include on your website. This not only inspires designers, but offers an overview of your artwork and previous success working with designers. Why is this important? Attend our speaker session “Art and the Interior Designers Who Buy It”

If you’ve ever wondered what type of art designers are buying then this is the perfect session for you!
Jay Takach, Evolo Design, Success Summit speaker

In this session, led by Jay Takach you’ll learn what the industry is looking for and how they show and recommend art to their clients.  Jay will give you a “behind the scenes” process of how artwork is selected and what type of artwork is specified for residential, commercial and hospitality projects.  You’ll learn about current and future color trends, see beautiful interiors that Jay has designed and much more.  He will also share with you his secrets for creating inviting and inspirational spaces with art and give you tips on what artists can do to assure their work is saleable in the interior design market.

Jay has been working in interior design for almost ten years and is currently with EVOLO Design. He has experience in both residential design and boutique hospitality design and has designed interiors both locally and throughout the country including projects at MGM Grand Casino, Station Casino and several restaurants. His goal is to create a space that reflects his client’s tastes, inspire them and exceed their every expectation

The Success Summit is now $490.00 for a two-day conference packed with personal and professional development sessions on everything you need to know to be successful in today's art market.
