The Woman Behind the "Wow"

Posted on 13 December 2011

Last week ADC, Art Design Consultants had the pleasure of going to Cincinnati artist, Megan Triantafillou’s fine art studio to watch her work on a new piece and to discuss her inspirations as an artist. I love the rawness of the artist’s studio—the paint brushes, crumpled up paint tubes, and colorful globs piled up on the pallet. Inside the studio is where an artist’s magic happens, and it’s incredible to be there and feel the energy of a painter hard at work.

Megan’s Magic

The first thing you will notice in Megan’s artwork is her amazing use of color and texture! She has two distinct series, her organic series and her warm series that uses more geometrical shapes, or “squares.” Viewers often call this her “stained glass” work, because the tile-like technique and range in color tones reminds them of glass work. Depth Perception

Megan’s paintings are abstract, nonobjective representations of aspects relating to nature and spirituality. Working layer by layer, she uses atmospheric blending with straight color application to promote an interesting depth perspective in her works. There is a flow and rhythm; the light reflecting a rainbow of colors with each rippling wave of the water.   [caption id="attachment_1315" align="aligncenter" width="500" caption="Click image to see more of Megan Triantafillou's artwork"]Cincinnati, Art, ADC, Art Design Consultants, Art Gallery, Fine art, Interior Design, Event Venue, Online Art, Framing, Custom Framing, Downtown Cincinnati, views, Original Art, Corporate Art, Art for Healthcare, Art Collectors, Art Consulting, Hotel Art, Restaurant Art[/caption]

Fabulously Fearless

I absolutely adore Megan’s fearlessness of color. No matter the space, there is a Megan Triantafillou painting that fits seamlessly. There is no shade or hue untouched or untried by this artist—which makes her pieces showstoppers! Whether the wall is white, colored, or even black—the playfulness in her technique and the vibrancy in her paints make her artwork pop.   [caption id="attachment_1316" align="aligncenter" width="500" caption="Click image to see more of Megan Triantafillou's artwork"]Cincinnati, Art, ADC, Art Design Consultants, Art Gallery, Fine art, Interior Design, Event Venue, Online Art, Framing, Custom Framing, Downtown Cincinnati, views, Original Art, Corporate Art, Art for Healthcare, Art Collectors, Art Consulting, Hotel Art, Restaurant Art[/caption]

All the Rave

If you’re looking for a piece of artwork that stops guests dead in their tracks & sparks conversation among visitors—Megan Triantafillou’s work is the art for you! Megan is the newest addition to our artists at ADC gallery and I cannot begin to explain the rave reviews—the “ooh’s, awe’s and wow’s”—she has already received from artists, designers, and clients alike.
