Have you ever wondered what exactly an art consultant does? I’ve been asked on multiple occasions what exactly my job includes. Well I can tell you one thing; you’d be amazed what any woman who owns an art gallery can do in high heels!
A consultant nurtures you through the art selection process. We help you determine your artistic tastes if you’re unsure & present the styles and colors that complement the design of your home or office building. Then, once these key decisions are made, we help you make it happen! Whether it’s a residential project looking for one perfect piece for above the living room fireplace, or a corporate job looking for one hundred, our goal is to make it happen quickly and easily! And—of course—create a finished look that you love

Last week we gave you a sneak peek at our project with BHDP Architecture for their client, The Bank of Panama. This project was such a joy to work on, and the end results extremely rewarding.
The bank of Panama was looking for large scale, colorful abstracts to fill their fun and contemporary corporate space. Amy Hood, BHDP Project Architect was so wonderful to work with. She was confident in what her client was looking for, was decisive, and clear. You know you love your job and your clients when hours of selecting art feels like play rather than work.

“Our client was interested in sourcing a number of colorful abstract art pieces that would add vibrancy to their new open office space. Litsa was able to provide a huge variety of artists to select from, responded quickly to any client requests, and within a matter of weeks we were able to select 20 beautiful pieces including two custom pieces measuring nearly 8’ square . ADC truly met all of our needs beginning with the art selection to custom framing and finally managing the shipment to Panama”
The process begins with the floor plan, and where the artwork will be located. For each space you need to consider the scale of the artwork, the color scheme in the interior design plans, and what that space is utilized for. Is it an executive’s office? Is it a conference room, or lobby?
Once you have options for each space and you present them to the client, it is ideal to have images of the artwork super-imposed into the space with Photoshop to give them a realistic look at what the outcome would be. This is extremely effective for visualizing the final look, and is a great tool for helping your client makes a final decision with confidence.

After the big decisions are made, we execute. We framed, crated, and shipped each piece of artwork so it would arrive to Panama safely, and on time. The fantastic news was that The Bank of Panama was so pleased with the artwork that they decided to choose a few more original pieces for additional spaces!!

At the end of it all, one of the most rewarding parts of wonderful projects such as these is getting to tell the artist that another piece of their artwork has found a home…and in this case, a home overseas in the beautiful country of Panama! How exciting to not only sell your work locally, or nationally…but even internationally
! It is an accomplishment artists should always take great pride in, and news we always look forward to giving!
