Panama I: The Creative Process

Posted on 26 July 2012

For one of our recent projects we worked with BHDP Architecture whose client, The Bank of Panama, had a brand new, beautiful & modern building. We had the privilege of working with Amy Hood, Project Architect in selecting the artwork for this amazing space! The catch, of course, was that we needed to choose several pieces of colorful and original artwork and have them shipped off to Panama in a matter of just a few short weeks! But, hey, we love a challenge! Amy had several paintings she thought were just right, but unfortunately too small for the space. God bless the amazing & accommodating artists we work with! We simply asked the artist, Kevin Poole, if he could recreate two of his paintings on a large scale. Well he said ‘of course’ and so began the creative process we'd like to share with you in photographs! If you've ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at ADC, here's a little sneak peek!

Stay tuned next week to see more of this finished project. We will talk about the process of the selecting the artwork and give you a glimpse into a day in the life of an art consultant!

"I recently went to ADC while working with an international bank client located in Panama City, Panama. Our client was interested in sourcing a number of colorful abstract art pieces that would add vibrancy to their new open office space. Litsa was able to provide a huge variety of artists to select from, responded quickly to any client requests, and within a matter of weeks we were able to select 20 beautiful pieces including two custom pieces measuring nearly 8’ square . ADC truly met all of our needs beginning with the art selection to custom framing and finally managing the shipment to Panama. I look forward to working with ADC on our next corporate project!" -Amy Hood, BHDP Project Architect
