Every year during our call to artists, Art Comes Alive, we give away four gallery contracts...which means new artists, and new artwork! What's more exciting than that? For art lovers such as ourselves...not much. We love seeing new styles, colors, mediums and textures! Today we're going to introduce you to those contract winners, our four new ADC artists!
Jamie Van Landuyt
Modern abstract artist, Jamie Van Landuyt layers multiple mediums in her work; using acrylic paint, oil pastel, metal leaf, and graphite to achieve depth. Through her technique and strong compositions, she emphasizes color, texture, and shape.
K. Randall Wilcox
“I believe that art, similar to life, changes daily. It’s about documenting life from a different perspective that others might not see or experience. It’s about finding inspiration in subtle surroundings, such as the beauty in an old weathered door or storm clouds creeping over the mountain. Along this journey we adapt, grow, and hopefully find our way.”
Artist, Jerry Points creates beautiful and dynamic nature scenes in varying techniques. His style ranges from realism to representation; often modernizing a landscape with mosaic-like brushwork and using saturated, abstracted colors to create a more contemporary version of a traditional and classic subject matter.
Jens G Rosenkrantz
"I was asked once what subjects I shoot. I responded that I look for light, reflected light, shapes and color... but color can be distracting and can be manipulated. Subjects don't matter. Light and shapes do."
"As both an illustrator and a fine-artist, I tackle each project as a problem-solving exercise. I challenge myself to tell a story in each of my paintings. This story usually revolves around the theme of a cyclical world, the changing seasons, weather, and embracing a pivotal moment in time. I sincerely hope those who view my work are engaged in a thought provoking way."
