Disco "I Do's"

Posted on 13 September 2011

Last month we had one of the most fabulously unique events the ADC art gallery has ever seen! It was sparkly and extravagant, and above all—groovy. Recent newlyweds, both dance lovers, felt that they should have a celebration with friends and family that represented their fun and outgoing personalities. This is how they decided on their oh-so-incredible, disco dance party!

Diggin’ the Details

I have had the pleasure of working with Cecelia Rose, Event Producer at Eventurous, several times. She always impresses me with her ideas and never fails to deliver... “The couple chose (ADC) because they loved the modern, urban vibe” Cecelia said. The movable walls of the gallery were ideal for creating the perfect dance floor and all the colors in the artwork added energy and intensity to an already hip and chic party. The gallery was dressed in bright and vibrant colors, the ceiling filled with over fifty glittering disco balls. Every nook and corner was used for luxurious seating areas that looked like a swanky disco club from the late 70’s. Each invitation was a small box with a modern pattern of colorful squares like the reflectors of a mirror ball.  Inside each was a miniature disco ball on a string to be hung in your car or on the Christmas tree. The cocktail bar and white beams of the gallery flickered with changing colored lights! Every detail had been thought out and executed without flaw. The creative energy during the entire event planning process was beyond impressive!

Move Aside, Travolta

The guests of the party had just as much spunk and enthusiasm as the newlyweds themselves! The dance floor was full of Saturday Night Fever worthy dance moves and costumes!
