Best of 2016!

Best of 2016!

The "Best of the Year" blogs are always our favorite to pull together because we get to review all the amazing projects and shows we accomplished with our artists! From our outstanding client projects another milestone year for ACA, to the success of our Blink Art Resource Artists, we're thrilled to give you the top highlights from 2016. And as always we would never be able to accomplish any of what we do without the amazing staff at ADC and Blink Art Resource, and without the support and encouragement from our artists, friends, and family!

Graydon Law

Over the years, Graydon Law has been an incredible support of Art Design Consultants through our annual art competition, Art Comes Alive as a Purchase Award Partner. So when they moved into their new downtown offices they couldn't wait to select artwork. We loved working with the law firm to select artwork that reflected their new space and brand.

Graydon Law is now the owner of artwork sourced from local Cincinnati artists. Curating this vibrant collection has been one of our favorite projects this year and we’re so in love with the finished product!

Bahl & Gaynor, Inc.

Corporate executives are always faced with the challenge of increasing employee productivity. Bonuses, constructive feedback, and supportive leadership are some of the common recommendations, but what about the physical workplace? Our environment can either drain or stimulate our energy and where else can mental energy be quantified but at work?

More and more companies are realizing that investing in art for the office is an investment in the wellbeing of their employees and their business as a whole. From wall graphics to original artwork, we had a great time outfitting Bahl and Gaynor's offices with vibrant pops of colors to add beauty to their white walls.

We had a great opportunity to select artwork for PricewaterhouseCoopers‘ newest location in Columbus. PWC is one of the largest professional service firms in the world with over 50,000 partners and staff nationwide. They do a remarkable job reinforcing their brand through the office design and artwork select for their spaces.

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center

Cincinnati Children’s is a local pediatric hospital ranked among the nation’s best. We’ve been working with the medical center for years, but this year was the biggest project we’ve partnered with them on – the new Clinical Sciences Pavilion.

Our senior art consultant, Allison Banzhaf, collaborated with Kolar Design to curate the vision for the new structure, from art selection and framing to installation. The new structure boasts over 600 beautiful works of art bringing new life and healing inspiration to the space and its patients.

Many of the pieces present a biological theme, imitating microscopic views of Petri dishes, swirling plasma, and organic shapes. The variety of artwork reflects upon and inspires continued collaboration between researchers and clinicians for future innovations.

Art Comes Alive is our annual art contest and exhibit that awards over $250,000 to artists through Gallery Contracts, Publishing Contracts, Purchase awards and so much more! We had a milestone year, not only in the amount of awards given away but a change of venue. We held the awards ceremony in the School of Creative and Performing Arts, which really elevated the event to truly match the caliber of the work we exhibit. ACA is always an incredible reception to celebrate artists' talent and dedication to their craft.

From inception in 2014, Blink Art Resource has grown exponentially from the print publication and online platform to a nationally recognized brand exhibiting around the country.

But in 2016 we added another fantastic feature to help artists expand their career with our Artists Opportunities. Year to date we have included over $17,000,000 in grants, RFPs, exhibitions, and calls for artists on the Blink Art Resource website for artists to apply to and gain new exposure!

Blink Art Resource launched our national artist tour in 2015 at Art San Diego and we haven't stopped since!

Artexpo New York

We blew Artexpo New York out of the water with our book launch party for the 2016 Blink Art Resource Catalog. It was fantastic to finally show off the publication! With it’s high-end, soft-touch cover and unique design elements, artists and designers couldn’t put Blink down! We say it was a huge success!

Art Santa Fe

Art Santa Fe was a brand new destination for our Blink artists. From glinting, earth-toned beads on bone to contemporary abstract with electric rays of color, our booth housed 26 of our Blink Art Resource artists and showcased a stunning array of mediums and subjects.

Spectrum Miami

Residential clients purchased artwork for the home and their office space, while trade buyers like interior designers and facilities managers connected with artists on large commissions for upcoming corporate, healthcare and hospitality projects!

At Spectrum Miami 2016 Blink Art Resource held our first “High Design + Fine Art Interior Design Challenge”, where we invited designers to submit their best design on our Facebook page. The three designs with the most reactions designed our feature wall pulling inspiration from Brian Goodman’s vibrant abstract photography! Interior Designer Ingrid De Villiers was the ultimate winner and pictured below is her stunning design.

Cincy Chic, Cincinnati's favorite online lifestyle magazine, named Litsa "2016 Women of the Year" for her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping others succeed through art!
