Award Winning Art

Posted on 20 July 2012

We take such pride in our artwork. We beam and boast when guests ask us about the artist and where we discovered it. We love hearing their input on what it means, or how well it was composed and created. A great work of original artwork will never go unnoticed, so why not be certain the art in your space is the best of the best? Why not put an award winning piece in your home or office? In addition to “loving it,” this takes your artwork above and beyond—certifying its merit and worth.  Apart from the emotional connection we can so deeply have with a work of art, achievement such as these provide us with confidence we’ve chosen the right piece! The subtle patterns in the background show through the thinly painted foreground, creating dynamic visual interest.   [caption id="attachment_2338" align="aligncenter" width="477" caption="Click here to see more of Maureen Holub's artwork!"]Cincinnati, Art, ADC, Art Design Consultants, Art Gallery, Fine art, Interior Design, Event Venue, Wedding Venue, Online Art, Framing, Custom Framing, Downtown Cincinnati, views, Original Art, Corporate Art, Art for Healthcare, Art Collectors, Art Consulting, Beauty, Inspirations, Fashion, Hotel Art, Restaurant Art[/caption]   Nick Stamas, Art Comes Alive’s “Figurative Artist of the Year,” is an extremely talented figurative and portrait artist. Nick’s goal is “to produce paintings that one can return to over and over to enjoy and be inspired by. The art is as important as the likeness.” His pieces are transcendental and romantic, capturing “the essence and vitality of the subject in a relaxed, impressionistic style.”   [caption id="attachment_2340" align="aligncenter" width="495" caption="Click here to see more of Nick Stamas' artwork"]Cincinnati, Art, ADC, Art Design Consultants, Art Gallery, Fine art, Interior Design, Event Venue, Wedding Venue, Online Art, Framing, Custom Framing, Downtown Cincinnati, views, Original Art, Corporate Art, Art for Healthcare, Art Collectors, Art Consulting, Beauty, Inspirations, Fashion, Hotel Art, Restaurant Art[/caption]   The talented Helmut Kientz—“Architectural Artist of the Year”—actually began his artistic career focused on illustration and digital imaging. It wasn’t until 2009, when he began working in watercolor did he realize his love, and ability, in the medium. The beautiful scenes he has had the opportunity to see in his extensive travels to Europe and the East coast provide him with an ideal, nostalgic subject matter.   [caption id="attachment_2342" align="aligncenter" width="492" caption="Click here to see more of Helmut Kientz's artwork"]Cincinnati, Art, ADC, Art Design Consultants, Art Gallery, Fine art, Interior Design, Event Venue, Wedding Venue, Online Art, Framing, Custom Framing, Downtown Cincinnati, views, Original Art, Corporate Art, Art for Healthcare, Art Collectors, Art Consulting, Beauty, Inspirations, Fashion, Hotel Art, Restaurant Art[/caption]   Cedric Michael Cox, winner of “Emerging Artist of the Year” explains his works perfectly: “Moving to E. 14th St in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati in 2000 was an act that changed my perspective of the urban environment and my vision for my art completely. This journey drove me to develop densely fragmented abstract drawings and paintings that force the viewer to reexamine material culture. I achieve this by deconstructing and reinventing architectonic configurations, using elements of popular music genres and iconography. As a musician as well as a visual artist, the similarities between a musical composition and a visual composition are obvious. A change in rhythm or pitch can be compared to a shift in line, brush stroke, gesture, and pattern.”   [caption id="attachment_2344" align="aligncenter" width="599" caption="Click image to see more of Cedric Michael Cox's artwork"]Cincinnati, Art, ADC, Art Design Consultants, Art Gallery, Fine art, Interior Design, Event Venue, Wedding Venue, Online Art, Framing, Custom Framing, Downtown Cincinnati, views, Original Art, Corporate Art, Art for Healthcare, Art Collectors, Art Consulting, Beauty, Inspirations, Fashion, Hotel Art, Restaurant Art[/caption]   Leslie Dyas, gallery contract winner, has a phenominal grasp on classical style. Her works include portraits, landscapes, and still lives. She uses her brushstrokes to create energy and movement, and he  use of color is brilliant—using dabs of  vibrancy to liven up a traditional subject and create balance of light and dark values.
