As many of you know, last Saturday was the Art Comes Alive 2013 Opening Night Awards Ceremony. What a huge
success! Our goal was to top last year’s amazing evening, and we feel we accomplished that through all the extra little details. This year, Cincinnati’s top catering company, Elegant Fare, greeted ACA artists and guests at the door with a specialty cocktail. But that’s not all that greeted guests. In the lobby stood a playful seven foot sculpture of the Oz’s lovable Tin Man by “Sculptor of the Year” Ryan Slattery, and a gorgeous ten foot paper piece by artist Allison Svoboda.
This year’s seated awards ceremony also proved to be an astounding improvement, with the awards presentation back-dropped by city views and elegant colored glass awards donated by Sterling Cut Glass.
This exhibit currently being showcased at ADC features the top 10% of artists (out of 1500 works entered) that were voted in by 15 prestigious jurors from around the nation! Artists, their family and friends, gathered in the gallery with brightly buzzing energy and spent their evening meeting one another, eating fantastic food, and (of course) enjoying the incredible quality and variety of artwork in this year’s final show.
The most rewarding part of Art Comes Alive is reminding artists of their talent; seeing the passion reignite after telling (and showing) them that we notice their hard work and dedication...and it's paying off! The ACA exhibit will be open for viewing until July 26th.
We welcome you to stop in anytime to see this awesome show. We have works from all around the globe featured, as well as every subject and medium you can imagine. It's an impressive body of work you don't want to miss!
Stay tuned the week of July 8th for many more photos from Saturday night!!
