…and we hope you haven’t forgotten us!
I sincerely apologize to all readers for not writing an entry last week. Things have been…well…hectic. Good hectic that is! We have had so many fabulous things going on at the gallery recently I feel like I should recap all that has been happening…and of course tell you a little about the exciting things to come!
Two weeks ago, Thursday…
The “Frame Sale Insanity” began. And what a huge (and of course, insane) success! I got to meet and make friends with so many new and wonderful people. Several of which are artists from all over the tri state area—students & professors of art, traveling artists, and of course artists featured in many galleries right here in the Queen City! Out of 17,000 feet of moulding (surprise, surprise) it’s not all gone yet. Moulding is still available at the sale price. Have some things to get framed? Stop into ADC, downtown Cincinnati.

Two weeks ago, Friday…
Cincy Chic held the amazing “Lady in Red” event for the American Heart Association here at the “Gallery in the Sky.” With over 220 attendees the gallery was dazzling red. Cocktail in hand, party goers admired artwork, ate chocolates by Chocolats Latour LLC & Carmatillie Chocolates, shopped the Jewelry tables, Stella & Dot and Krombholz Jewelers, and sported ties from Corwyn Apparel. Fun photo booths & games with prizes entertained guests while the city skyline and the beautiful freeze models served as an inspiring backdrop.
The event was such a fantastic success that it was featured in last Sunday’s Cincinnati Enquirer and Channel 9 News.
Last week…
We hosted our first Lunch & Learn at the gallery. The first of the series was “For Artists Only.” Thirty Cincinnati artists joined me for a gourmet lunch as we discussed their artwork—and who their target audience would be based on the style & scale of their pieces. This event was yet another outstanding success where I had the opportunity to meet new people & discuss—my favorite: art and the beauty of creative minds! Mark your calendar for March 14, our next Lunch & Learn featuring Cyd Alper-Sedgwick on Feng Shui design.
Last night…
We had the biggest turn out EVER for Cincinnati Design Star: “The Year of the Water Dragon.” What an awesome way to begin 2012’s Design Star series. Feng Shui designer, Cyd-Alper Sedgwick, designed a room of harmony, prosperity and flow. The room featured artist Lisa Schuster, Bova Contemporary Furniture, catering by Ragazza Catering, and stunning floral arrangement by Timothy’s Florals.
Next Week…
We launch the Art Comes Alive 2012 National Competition. I am beyond excited about this competition. With $65,000 in awards, we will be giving away 13 subject & medium awards, 5 special awards including Lifetime Achievement, Emerging Artist, and People’s Choice Awards, 8 gallery contract awards, and 15, 500 purchase awards…just to name a few! This is an enormous opportunity for artists to get recognized and rewarded for their hard work & astounding talent. Until next week, stay tuned…
